One of the things forcing me to apply to RMIT university is the study experience that the campus provides, and I am sure that many RMIT-ers would agree with me. School facilities can have a profound impact on student outcomes, such as learning, behaviour, and engagement. RMIT offers superb facilities. Modern class, studio, and lab create an ideal foundation for studying. Then, all of my promising plans as a freshman were put on hold by the Covid-19 pandemic. Due to the social distance from 2021, my first two semesters at RMIT needed to be taken on an online platform. After all of that crisis time, starting a new offline semester would be full of emotions. However, adaption to a new normal was at first so challenging for me, I have been stuck at home in the past two years remote and really forgot how to make a new friend in real life. On the first school day, I was so nervous and did not come out of my shell. After realizing that I was studying “Professional Communication”, the basic thing in this career was greeting people. I had to expand my comfort zone. At the moment I did not know where to start; fortunately, the teacher gave the class a chance to greet new friends by sharing his/her personal story with others and it could be anything. I decided to tell a funny joke; eventually, I met Thanh, Giang, and Duong and also formed a team. These amazing people supported me and offered me some warm words. Most importantly, I have learned to control fear, develop confidence and stop overthinking things that make me anxious.
